Goals set for Monza
7 October 2020
For the penultimate round of the 2020 season, the European Le Mans series this weekend (10 – 11 October) is at Monza (Italy). With a sixth place for the #34 Ligier LMP2 of Kuba Smiechowski, Rene Binder and Matevos Isaakyan at the last race at Paul Ricard, the team is setting its sights for a top five finish at Monza. For the #13 Ligier LMP3 the obvious goal is to win. After a second place, a did-not-finish and a third place, Nigel Moore and Martin Hippe are very motivated and ready to go for the top spot on the podium.
#34 Kuba Smiechowski: “At Paul Ricard I missed a bit of speed, but I was very happy with the car and the sixth place. I hope we can keep the momentum we had there. I heard there might be a slight chance of rain which opens up other opportunities and makes it very interesting. We will do our best.”
#13 Nigel Moore: “I will stay out of trouble this race as I really want to finish on the top of the podium. We lacked some speed at Paul Ricard so we will try to find more here at Monza. I like the track here at Monza and the atmosphere. Last year we qualified 8th and finished 2nd. So, this year we want to go one higher.”
